Gillian runs Bringing Love to Every Single Soul (BLESS), a 6-year-old non-profit organisation which acts as a community partner to other social service providers, to plug the gaps in interventions to support the less-privileged.

Through a personal crowdfunding initiative to bless children from vulnerable households with children's day gifts, BLESS' founding team recognised the bountiful potential of social capital, tapping on the strength in numbers of givers; collaborative efforts of volunteers; mobilising community resources to meet focal needs; and inspiring participation of beneficiaries to help us help themselves.

Run solely by youth volunteers, BLESS continues to function as a groundup – everyone contributing in their own ways to support the organising and operating of their programmes!
